Ama Dablam Expedition

Ama Dablam climbing is probably the second most popular climbing in Everest region after Mt. Everest expedition. Ama Dablam is a difficult and technical mountain for climbing in the Himalayas. Ama Dablam climbing is conceived as the most beautiful alpine rock and ice climbing of its kind. Although the peak is not so high, only 6812m, the summit of Ama Dablam offers magnificent views of several 8000n. peaks of the Himalayas. Ama Dablam climbing justifies the highest level of climbing artistry in mountaineering. South-West Ridge is the normal route for Ama Dablam climbing with three high camps above Ama Dablam base camp.

Unlike other mountains, Ama Dablam climbing is generally planned in autumn season. The best time for Ama Dablam expedition is from September till end of November. Ama Dablam climbing trip begins with the flight to Lukla and half way trekking on Everest base camp trekking trail. From Pangboche, the route takes to the east to vast pasture land with great views of Ama Dablam. Base camp is established on large meadow.
