The Annapurna Base camp Trek is a trek in the Annapurna region which commonly starts or Nayapul and reaches the Annapurna Base Camp. The trek starts from low altitude (800 m. from the sea level ) and reaches to the altitude of over 4000 m.,  Annapurna base camp only in a few days. The trail has numerous ascents and descents, but offers a wide variety of superb landscapes, and The Sanctuary itself is utterly mind-blowing.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 m/4,264 ft)

Day 02:  Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

Day 03: Fly to Pokhara and trek to Ghandruk (1940m/6360 ft): 30 min flight and 6 hours trek

Day 04: Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2170m/7120ft): 5 – 6 hours: 4 – 5 hours trek

Day 05:  Chhomrong to Bamboo (2310m/7578ft): 4 – 5 hours

Day 06: Bamboo to Deurali (3230m/10,595ft): 3 – 4 hours

Day 07: Deurali to ABC (4,130m/13,545ft) via Machhapuchhre Base Cam (3700m/12135ft): 5- 6 hours

Day 08: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo: 7 – 8 hours

Day 09: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1760m/5770 ft): 5 – 6 hours

Day 10: Trek to Naya Pul then drive to Pokhara: 6 hours trek, 1 hour drive

Day 11: Pokhara Sightseeing:5-6 hours

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

Arrival at the Tribhuwan International airport, Corporate Travels representative will welcome you and transfer you to hotel in Thamel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02:  Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

Breakfast at the hotel then we start sightseeing tour to four UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu.  Swayambhunath is located in the heart of the city and is also called Monkey Temple by the tourists owing to the large number of monkeys in the temple area. Kathmandu Durbar Square holds the palaces of the ancient kings who ruled over the then Kathmandu Kingdom. Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus all over the world. The Buddhist shrine of Boudhanath is one of the largest stupas in the world, and one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage and tourist destinations in Kathmandu.

Evening meet with trekking guide in our office for a brief orientation on our trek and receive necessary documents. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Fly to Pokhara and Trek to Ghandruk (1940m/6360 ft): 30 min flight and 6 hours trek

Breakfast at the hotel, early morning flight to Pokhara, the beautiful lake city and catch great views of the Himalayas from the right side of our airplane. After landing in the Pokhara airport, we drive to Naya Pul (1 hour) and start the trek. From Birethanti, we trek to Ghandruk, a beautiful village mostly inhabited by the Gurung community. If time permits, we also visit the Gurung museum today.  Overnight in Ghandruk.

Day 04: Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2170m/7120ft): 5 – 6 hours: 4 – 5 hours trek

Breakfast at the hotel/lodge we climb up for around an hour up to Kimrungdanda. On the way, we can enjoy great views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Fishtail Mountain: (Machhapuchhre) and Ganggapurna. A steep descent takes us to the Kimrong Khola. After another steep ascent from Kimrong Khola to Chere Danda, we descend for a while and walk to Chhomrong. Overnight in Chhomrong.

Day 05:  Chhomrong to Bamboo (2310m/7578ft): 4 – 5 hours

 Breakfast at the hotel/lodge and we descend step by steps and cross the bridge above Chhomrong Khola. Then uphill climb to Sinuwa. Next, we pass through a beautiful forest to Kuldihar followed by an easy downhill walk to Bamboo. Overnight in Bamboo.

Day 06: Bamboo to Deurali (3230m/10,595ft): 3 – 4 hours

Breakfast at the hotel/lodge in Deurali, we pass through a bamboo forest which is damp and cold then ascend steadily with a few steep sections. It is only after reaching Himalaya Hotel that the forest opens up and we are out in the sun again with amazing views of the river below. It is a steep climb up through a much drier forest before reaching Hinku Cave. From here we can see the trail drop closer to the river before climbing again to Deurali, the most scenic stretch of the day. The vegetation is sparser, allowing magical views of the valley, the river below, and the sheer rock-face cliffs above with bands of wispy waterfalls, Overnight in Deurali.

Day 07: Deurali to ABC (4,130m/13,545ft) via Machhapuchhre Base Cam (3700m/12135ft): 5-6 hours

Breakfast at the hotel/lodge in Deurali, then we climb gently through a river bed then over a steep trail over to the mountain side. The hike from Bagar to Machhapuchhre Base Camp is somewhat strenuous. From Machhapuchhre base camp we get excellent views of the majestic Machhapuchhre along with Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli and Gangapurna which is certainly a rewarding experience. The vegetation disappears on our way to ABC and the path widens as we enter the Annapurna sanctuary. From here, we get sensational views of the near-vertical south face of Annapurna towering above us. The sanctuary boasts of a dynamic view without anything impeding the 360-degree panorama. From the base camp we again get to savor mesmerizing views of the Machhapuchhre, Annapurna south, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli and other peaks,Overnight at Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 08: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo: 7 – 8 hours

Breakfast at the hotel/lodge in Annapurna base camp and we review our steps to Bamboo. Today’s trek is downhill so it shouldn’t be very difficult. Besides, we will always have the company of the extraordinary landscape to cheer us up,Overnight in Bamboo.

Day 09: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1760m/5770 ft): 5 – 6 hours

Breakfast at the hotel/lodge in Bamboo, it is an uphill trek to Kuldighar followed by a downhill walk to Chhomrong Khola. Then we climb the stone steps to Chhomrong. The trail then descends to Jhinu Danda, where we will be resting for the night. Today we will have an opportunity to enjoy the hot springs which about 30 minute downhill walk from Jhinu Danda to soothe our aching body. Overnight in Jhinu Danda.

Day 10: Trek to Naya Pul then drive to Pokhara: 6 hours trek, 1 hour drive

On our way to Naya Pul from Jhinu Danda, we get to enjoy the amazing hill landscape of western Nepal. We have lunch on the way. Our trek will end at Naya Pul where we board our vehicle to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 11: Pokhara Sightseeing: 05-06 hours

Breakfast at the hotel and sightseeing trip will start at 9 AM in the morning. Places we visit are Fewa Lake, Devid’s water fall, Museum, Tibetan refugee settlement and Gupteshower cave. Overnight hotel in Pokhara

Day 12:  Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu: 07-08 hours or 30 minutes flight

Breakfast at the hotel and drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus or if you wish, board a flight (approx.30 minutes) by paying about USD 120 extra. In the evening, we will take you out for a farewell dinner at one of the renowned restaurants in Kathmandu offering authentic Nepalese dishes and live cultural show. After dinner, we will drive you back to your hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 14:  Final Departure

Our journey in Nepal comes to an end today! A Corporate Travels representative will drop us off at the airport approximately 3 hours before our scheduled flight. On our way to home, we have plenty of time to plan our next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.

Health & Experience: This trip requires you to be in good health and physically fit. So, we recommend thorough physical examination before you start the trek.Your familiarity with the mountainous terrain and previous trekking experience will be plus points.

Travel Insurance: Make sure that you are insured against cancellations, accidents, health, emergency evacuation and loss, theft of, or damage to, baggage and personal effects.
In emergency situations, we will arrange for a helicopter rescue, medical treatment and after care for you. All these costs shall be borne by your travel insurance company.

Accommodation: Basic tea house accommodation during the trek (Toilet and bathroom will be outside of the room) twin sharing basis, 3 Star standard deluxe accommodation in Kathmandu & Pokhara, BB Plan on twin sharing basis. You have to pay extra if you need a single room. Cases may be different for solo travelers and odd number of groups or genetically different peoples travelling together.

Meals: 3 meals per day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, which you can choose from the menu) during the trek, Breakfast in Kathmandu and Pokhara

Transportation: Airport – hotel – airport transfers and Kathmandu – Pokhara – Kathmandu by tourist bus. Pokhara to Nayapul to Pokhara and Pokhara Sightseeing by private car.

Documentation:  Trekker’s Information Management System (TIMS) card & Trekking permit (Annapurna Conservation Area Project entry permit)

Equipment/Accessories: If required, we are happy to provide you, down jacket, sleeping bags, first-aid kit, and water purifying solution (iodine-based) which you should refund after the trek

Human resource: A professional and experienced trekking guide (English-speaking), a porter per two trekkers (carrying up to 25 kg), and all the expenses for the guide and porter(s) are covered (wages, accommodation, meals, transportation, insurance, etc.)

Emergency Rescue Service: Should any emergency arise during your trek, we will provide prompt and professional rescue and medical services. However, you must be already insured for such emergencies, and your insurance policy must cover helicopter evacuation. Moreover, you should provide your policy details and authorize us to deal directly with your insurance company on your behalf.
