Ghorepani-PoonHill Trekking(10 Days)

Ghorepani-Poon Hill  Trekking(10 Days)

Ghorepani-Poon hill trekking is one of the short treks in Nepal which offers Annapurna panoramic view of Himalayas in the west of Nepal.  Poonhill – Ghorepani trekking begins from Pokhara. We drive to Nayapool and commence trekking with gradual climb passing small villages, terraced fields and patches of jungle. After crossing Bhurundi Khola, we make steep climbing of stone stairs from Tirkhedhunga to Ulleri which is unique in Poonhill Ghorepani trekking.

The main highlight of Ghorepani-Poon hill trekking is the visit to Poonhill for spectacular sun rise over the Himalayas and the panoramic views of mountains. It will be almost one hour hike from Ghorepani to Poonhill in the dawn. The sun rising and shedding light on Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South and other snow capped mountains make spectacular scenery. The panorama of the Himalayas from Manaslu in the east to Dhaulagiri in the west prove Poonhill one of the best vantage points on the earth. Sun set views are also equally spectacular specially in November and December in the autumn season.

On the descend from Ghorepani, we visit Ghandruk, a beautiful Gurung hamlet nestled on the lap of the mountains. The clustered neatly built stone houses with the views of the mountains is another attraction of the trekking. Poonhill Ghorepani trekking makes a loop and and ends in Pokhara.
