You visit Bhaktapur which resembles a museum of medieval art and architecture. The main places you visit are Golden Gate, the Palace of 55 Windows – a unique masterpiece of wood carving, Nyatapole Temple – one of the tallest pagoda temples in Nepal. You proceed to Nagarkot. Located at 32 km east of Kathmandu at 2195 meters from the sea level, Nagarkot is a scenic spot renowned for sun rise/set as well as panoramic views of Himalayan range of eastern Nepal including Mt. Everest in clear weather.
Observe the sun rise and the sun shedding light on Himalayan peaks one after another as the sun comes up. Drive back to Kathmandu and commence sightseeing tour to Patan Durbar Square. Patan – the city of beauty, is the oldest city in Kathmandu valley – full of Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples. You visit a clusters of old royal palaces, Krishna Temple – one of the masterpieces of stone art of ages and Mahabuddha – the replica of famous Mahabouddha in Bodh Gaya of India.
You proceed to Bouddhanath – one of the most fascinating specimens of stupa design and the biggest one in the world surrounded by hundreds of Tibetan Buddhist monasteries. Nest visist Pashupatinath, the holiest of all the Shiva Shrines with a crematorium on the bank of the holy river the Bagmati.
