Observe the views of the sun rising and shedding light on Himalayan peaks one after another as the sun comes up. After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu and commence sightseeing tour to Patan – the city of beauty and the oldest city in Kathmandu valley – full of Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples including Krishna Temple – one of the masterpieces of stone art of ages, Hiranyavarna Mahabihar – a still active Buddhist monastery and Mahabuddha – the replica of famous Mahabouddha in Bodh Gaya of India.
After lunch, proceed to Bouddhanath – one of the most fascinating specimens of stupa design and the biggest one in the world surrounded by hundreds of Tibetan Buddhist monasteries scattered around. Continue tour to Pashupatinath, the holiest of all the Shiva Shrines. The site dates back to Fifth and Sixth century with a crematorium on the bank of the holy river the Bagmati surrounded by sacred lingams (phallic symbol) of Lord Shiva.
Drive to Pokhara (6 hrs.) along the bank of the Trisuli and Marsyangdi Rivers observing a great diversity of sceneries along the way. If fly, it will be half an hour scenic flight with spectacular views of Langtang, Manaslu and Annapurna Himalayas ranges. Pokhara is a beautiful city nestled on the lap of Himalayas with nature grandeur.
Drive to Sarangkot early in the morning for the sunrise tour and the close and magnificent views of Himalayas. Return to Pokhara and commence sightseeing tour of the sites of geological interest: Seti River Gorge, Devis Fall followed by boating on Phewa Lake.
Drive to Chitwan (5 hrs.) along the bank of Marshyangdi and Trisuli Rivers. Chitwan is one the finest national parks in Asia and covers an area of 932 sq. km. with prolific wildlife. After lunch make a tour to Tharu village and visit elephant breeding center.
Canoe ride on Rapti River and observe both migratory and local birds and some time crocodile. Walk in the jungle with nature guide for the possible sights of wildlife followed by elephant bathing on Rapti River. After lunch you go for elephant safari to view the wild animals including one horned rhinoceros. Tharu culture program in the evening.
Bird watching in the jungle early in the morning, more than 450 species of birds make their habitat in Chitwan National Park. After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu (6 hrs.). Farewell dinner in one of the Nepalese restaurants with culture program.
